Not Too Bad

This is a story about a friend named Frank.

Frank is a rather optimistic person, to a point where all his friends get bothered by his carelessness. No matter how harsh the situation, Frank will always say, "Awful, but it's not too bad."

So Frank's buddies decided to make up a terrible story to change Frank's habbits.


Friend says, "Frank! I heard something happened to Tom... He went home yesterday night and saw a man in bed with his wife. So he shot the two in bed... then himself!"

Frank froze for a moment. Then after a long silence... he says, "Awful, but it's not too bad."

Friend replies in surprise, "Why?!..."

Frank murmurs, "Because if Tom went home a day ealier I would have been dead."



PS: The above story is 100% fictional. I don't have such a friend. Nor do I want one...
